This is my first essay for this class. Multimedia is a term I have heard but am not very familiar with, so it's kind of basic.
Multimedia

1. a combination of media, as film, tape recordings, slides, and special lighting effects, used for entertainment or education
2. a combination of communication media, such as television, newspapers, and radio, used in an advertising or publicity campaign
3. mixed media (sense )
4. a combination of text, data, pictures, sound, video, etc., as on a CD-ROM compact disc, for interactive access through electronic computers

Multimedia gives people the ability to communicate thoughts, feelings, ideas and concepts in a variety of ways using a combination of different media.
Although I have often heard and seen the term “multimedia”, I realize I only had a general understanding of what it meant. I have a much broader understanding after viewing the suggested sites.
I have always felt that one is limited only by one’s imagination. This is compounded by all of the digital possibilities that exist in today’s world.
